"How to encourage English department student speaking english more often and confidently"
I think that students often speak English is by discussing a simple and general topic such as a simple event class or discuss a film that must be in public. In the class we have to speak using English like greeting friends or asking, although sometimes we mix with Indonesian language that we may not know the vocabulary. And in one class we have to help each other and support each other, especially the already smooth and confident to give motivation and tips to friends who are still difficulty speaking even less confident.
There are several supporting methods that we should do is to read the book, this we can do to train the ability to speak English. Find books that speak english, read to completion. Try to read with a voice, with the sound will grow the confidence in us. Often listen to music or english movies then imitate and say aloud.
